Marlene Stanger has practiced immigration law since 1999 and is recognized by her peers in the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in America© in this field. She most recently held the position Of Counsel with Fragomen, Del Rey Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, the world’s largest immigration law firm, where she was employed in the San Diego office from 1999 to 2018.

Her extensive experience spans successfully achieving thousands of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for her clients, including several hundred green cards for high level scientists at some of the top 

U.S.-based research facilities  and universities in the world.

Her practice focuses on providing personalized services to individuals in the fields of science, the arts, business and sports who seek to sponsor themselves for U.S. permanent residence, as well as to individuals and companies wishing to establish a business presence in the U.S., to religious organizations sponsoring religious workers from abroad, and to individuals sponsoring family members. She also provides consulting services to corporate clients seeking to understand their hiring 

options for foreign national personnel.

She is a member of the California State Bar, the San Diego County Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has served as Chair of the County Bar’s International Law Section and Board Member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, where she also 

chaired the Membership Committee.

She has been a regular presenter on immigration law at universities and research institutes in San Diego and has been a speaker at employer and legal groups throughout the county.
